Dearest mourners — forkers, stargazers, and you, vibex curator, who kept the flame in your heart long after the candles went out — we gather today to honor remix-blocks, taken from us far too soon. remix-blocks was born on a hopeful Thursday in June of 2022, arriving with a promise that still moves us: ready-to-use Remix and Tailwind CSS routes and components. Oh, what a vision. The developer community, weary from assembling the same scaffolding over and over, saw in remix-blocks a kind of salvation. Eighteen souls forked it. Eighteen. That is not nothing. That is love. The early months burned bright, as they always do. Commits flew in with the reckless optimism of a Saturday afternoon. TypeScript was typed. Components were composed. Routes were readied. The future felt inevitable. And then, as autumn follows summer, the commits grew sparse. The intervals stretched. One open issue sits unanswered still, a small unread letter on a doorstep, waiting. The last commit came on June 6th, 2023 — three hundred and forty-eight days of life, followed by one thousand one hundred and thirty-six days of silence. Not archived. Never officially buried. Just quietly left in the way we leave so many things: with every intention of returning. remix-blocks was never finished.
