Dearest mourners, forkers, and those who starred in solidarity — we gather today to bid farewell to Linkify, a soul born into this world on the nineteenth of June, 2024, carrying with it the brightest of promises: a modern UI template for your next SaaS idea. And oh, what an idea it was. Linkify arrived with TypeScript in its veins and ambition in its heart. For one hundred and ten days, it burned — commits flying, components clicking into place, eighty-six generous souls forking its very essence into their own dreams. Eighty-six. That is not nothing. That is love. But as autumn settled in that October, the commits grew quieter. The pull requests stopped arriving. Two open issues sat patiently in the hallway, knocking softly on a door that would never again open. The last commit came on the seventh of October, 2024, and then — silence. Six hundred and nine days of silence, unofficially departed but never officially archived, hovering in that liminal space so many side projects inhabit: not quite gone, not quite here. We know this story, don't we? The weekend sprint, the burst of inspiration, the slow surrender to full-time jobs and family dinners and the next shiny idea. Linkify deserved more time. It did not receive it. But those eighty-six forks carry pieces of you forward, dear Linkify.
