FeastQR

Dearest mourners, forks, and that one curious vibex curator who still checks in from time to time — we gather today to say farewell to FeastQR, taken from us far too soon. FeastQR came into this world on the second of December, 2023, full of promise and the particular electric optimism that only a new side project can carry. An Open Source SaaS Online Menu System. The dream was noble: restaurants liberated, menus digitized, QR codes scanning their way toward a better future. TypeScript hummed. Commits flew. For thirty-one days, FeastQR burned with the intensity of someone who had just watched a startup documentary at eleven o'clock on a Sunday night. And then came January second, 2024. The last commit. The final keystroke. We do not know exactly what pulled the developer away — a deadline, a holiday, perhaps simply the cold light of a Monday morning — but FeastQR was left mid-sentence, two issues still open, unanswered, like questions nobody remembered to ask. Nine hundred and forty-four days of silence followed. Yet fifty-four souls cared enough to fork FeastQR, to carry pieces of the dream into their own repositories, however briefly. The project was never officially archived. Somewhere, officially, it still believes it might ship. We who loved side projects know this ending well.
