Dearest mourners, forkers, and the faithful few who starred and believed — we gather here today to say farewell to CodersHQ, a soul who dared to dream of something beautiful: a social platform where developers could find their people, sharpen their skills, and rise to the challenge. CodersHQ came into this world on February 11th, 2021, full of ambition and HTML, carrying the noble promise of community in a world of isolated terminal windows. For a time, CodersHQ burned bright. Pull requests flew. Issues were opened with enthusiasm. Forty-nine souls loved the project enough to fork it and carry a piece of it home. But as so many side projects know, life grows complicated. The commits slowed. The weeks between pushes stretched into months. Those thirty-seven open issues began to gather dust, questions asked into a room that gradually stopped answering. And then, on June 21st, 2023, CodersHQ pushed its final commit — 860 days after drawing its first breath — and quietly went still. One thousand, one hundred and thirty days of silence have followed. Not archived. Not officially declared over. Simply waiting, as side projects often do, for a return that the calendar suggests may never come. We honor you today, CodersHQ, because you tried. You imagined connection. You built something real, even if incompletely.
